Just an FYI. If there's more than one or two of you at the dinner table you will be very happy you purchased a 6 qt. unit. These air fryers do take up a bit of counter real estate but they do earn their right to that space many times over.

I have a Gourmia air fryer (not this model), and it is amazing. Had it about 6 months, no issues whatsoever

Most of the fried foods I eat are french fries, nuggets etc., and I rarely have to make for more than two people. Is an air frier going to be useful for me, and if yes, is this thing the right size?

This might be too big for you. They also have a 4qt one on sale on their website.

I accidentally got the non stainless version of this at Kohls... any differences other than appearance and not being quite as good of deal? Am considering buying something else with more rack space but not sure what...

Yes, it would be. I've been using for months.
This 6qt size is fine when you have visiting relatives. You can even go for a smaller one .

Deal seems like the average price these days (I paid $55 @ Costco), but more importantly, this thing works amazingly well! We use it virtually every night and turn out some super crispy wings, fries, etc. It's also useful as a quick way to reheat food. The 6 quart size leaves enough access to the hot air since it's wider and shorter than other models. I wouldn't recommend going much smaller. I just purchased the larger Gourmia on Kohl's with the rotisserie and tumble basket accessories (Xmas gift for wife), and hoping it comes close in performance to this one.
