If anyone is curious, I believe these work with the V-MODA BoomPro Microphone for Gaming & Communication - Black, also available on Amazon for $29.98. I'm not sure how good that deal is; I haven't checked. But, if you already have a V-Moda BoomPro microphone from before, it should be compatible with this pair of headphones.
I agree with you that these headphones are worth way more than $120. A few years ago when I was first looking at them, they were around $349.99. I didn't need them then, since I already had another pair of headphones, and I'm glad I waited until this morning to purchase them!

To add to the discussion though - I do use these for gaming and they are phenomenal. I am thinking of adding a Soundblaster external card to amp it up even more but with these it's hardly necessary.
