Pretty solid deal, only $2 more than 3700X at time of posting this. For those that got in on the previous 3600X $199 deal (which is also currently back)

3600X
$199
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-...263&sr=8-6

However, at this price the 3800X may be worth considering moving to 8 cores as upcoming PS5/Xbox Scarlett will be 8 core based so near future titles may well make more use of the additional cores.

3800X
$329
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-...006&sr=8-3

Walmart also has this deal

https://www.walmart.com/ip/AMD-Ry.../806882015

and BH

Both should last you years as long as they don't die. Personally im going 3800x, from an i5-6600k. Im not too impressed with intels performance, improvement, or pricing.

For anyone with a microcenter it's been this price plus you get the $30 off the motherboard. I paired this with a gigabyte auros x570 elite wifi board and it's been outstanding. Granted I was moving up from a dinosaur x58 system.

9700k is 8c/8t. 3800x is 8c/16t. Ps5 and xbone are using a 8core zen2 chip, so if you plan on gaming the ryzen is probably a safer bet.

Interesting that 3800x has dropped to $330 nearly across the board (newegg, amazon, walmart, bhphoto). Hoping that a 3700x will be up soon for $280 or less.

Btw, newegg on ebay has this with PDEAL3 coupon for $10 off, and you can stack 5% paypal cashback if you have a chase freedom card.

But you don't get the games offer. So that may not be worth it for some.

How is this cpu cooler that comes with it? I planned on buying an aftermarket cooler but would love to save $100 if I could use the factory cooler. I wonder how noisy it is on top of performance.

Also, does this come with the game pass and 2 games like Newegg and best buy are advertising? I don't see those specifically listed on the Amazon page but maybe I missed it.
Most reviews and YouTubers say it is okay, but a bit noisy. Tech Deals did a live build last night and used the Noctua DH-U12S (about $60 for standard, $70 for black chromax edition)

Lots of other cheaper good ones too, Newegg has had some cooler deals come and go. I'm sure we'll see more in the next few days.

Yes the free games are listed further down on the page.

Features & details

Thanks! I just saw the games details further down (on phone) and edited my post. Thanks for confirming though!

Anyone paired this with an AIO liquid cooler and have feedback?

The Wraith Prism LED Cooler is perfect if you don't plan on overclocking. Looks great and keeps temps where they should be. It's the same as the one on my 3900x. Originally I had planned to shop for an AIO on BF, but after using it for a month I'm just going keep that money in my pocket. I recommend checking out checking youtube out, several reviews on it that say similar.

Edit: My desktop sits on the floor and I haven't noticed any noise issues at all (Meshify C case). I have a 1080 GPU and 4 case fans as well.

Thanks. I planned on buying an AIO that had LED as well so it is a plus that this has LED. My main concern would be noise since I want my build to be quiet. Especially at idle. During gaming it is expected to have a little noise.

Now I just need to find a Mobo deal 😁. Debating whether I should go for a x570 chipet over x470.
