Is this the actual software to keep, or just a 1 year service subscription that will pull the rug out from your backup plan in 12 months?

Physical copy just means a box with a piece of paper and the license code on it... No media included anymore. At least not in the upgrade package.

That just seems like a waste of paper and shipping, to slow down getting the code to me, when it would be cheaper for everyone to send it via email, but I'm not complaining, cheaper then I normally pay for it. Smilie

Basic older version free if you have a Seagate or Western Digital drive.

Win10 has built in tools for both file and full drive backups.

Easeus, Macrum Reflect are other free backup tools.

you can actually get the download from Acronis and use it for 30-days right away. then activate when the key arrives so it's almost no downtime

I entered the promo code and it didn't offer the discount. At least, that's what I thought. I tried it again today and it worked just fine.
Not sure what I did wrong. Thanks for posting that.

+1

And if you register your copy on the Acronis web site, it will store your key, and allow you to download the latest version at any time

it's a license for 1 PC/Mac, and updates. The cloud subscription is part of the premium pack.
This key can be transferred to another PC/ email acct.

It would need to be transferred to another PC prior to use? Not sure how this works.

I have two PCs that I need to clone the SSDs for. Once I am done with one, I would want to use it for the other computer (since I've recently built two new computers).

Is one license enough? I can deregister it from the first computer and then use on the second.
