Ordered one. What does US model mean? Does it support only certain bands?

Was planning to buy a smartphone today. Was very much inclined to buy one plus 7 pro ($549 + no tax) but this pixel 3 ($349 + tax) is tempting mainly coz of camera and updates. I am not a gamer but I use phone for taking photos, songs, podcasts, heavy browsing. Can anyone provide insights to make me decide Smilie TIA

Even if you could, I would pick a 3 over a 4. Reviews of the camera say the 4 doesn't add much. And the 4 doesn't give you unlimited full resolution for another 2 years or so. 4 gives you nothing.

So with this 64 gb I can take the photos and 4K video and upload to Google and keep clearing the memory. I just need the rest for Spotify offline, apps, some books. I never come close to hitting my 64 gb limit on my original Pixel. And I have a couple extra refurb pixels to ensure I have a funnel for my full resolution Nikon pictures and videos for a long time to come (or until Google goes belly up or renegs on their unlimited promise with the original Pixel).
What's your Nikon->Pixel process? In wondering if there's an easy way to run years' worth of photos through the Pixel OG...

Confused. Doesn't the Pixel 3 have a notch in the screen? Pictures appear to be that of the cheaper 3a.

It's not pretty. I just move all the Nikon video/pics to a folder on a PC. Then I connect the Pixel to the PC and move the video/pics to the Pixel's internal ram (limited by the storage capacity). Once on the Pixel, it starts automatically uploading to Google Photos at full resolution (including video). Once they are uploaded and shows complete, I clear the memory and start over.

I have 10s of thousands of photos (RAWS as well ... why not ... it's free) stored on Google. I think I have .29 GB "used" (pre-Pixel). And my understanding is once they are in, Google will never take them out (or knock them down to "high res"). The price of one Pixel is worth that "lifetime" storage, even if Google stops the party tomorrow. I got my money's worth.

I think you are referencing the XL. The knock on the 3, I understand, is the battery. XL has a better battery but the notch.

Over and over reviewers rave about the 3's camera (not just the hardware but the software Google uses to make it happen). I still have no issues with my original Pixel XL on apps/browsing, etc. This 3 is just gravy. It's a flagship phone at a moderate level phone price (akin to the 3a). The only thing I would gripe about is non-expandable storage, only 2 years full resolution photo upload, and battery.

There is no such thing as the US model Pixel 3. All Pixel 3 phones support world-wide network except those with Japan SKUs that lack CDMA EVDO Rev A: BC0/BC1/BC10.

I think US refers to the warranty region.

I also pulled the trigger and bought one. I tried clicking through using cash back holic which may have 16% cashback.
