Yeah its annoying but a workaround is buying 1ft extension cords. I've bought 30 of these 3 years ago and I've only used half: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=5299
Handy when I have to deal with no space between powerstrips because of charging bricks, fat power adapters, or my smart switches

Not a true statement. I have an many computers with SSD's, APC UPC's everywhere and Power Surges all the time. Never lost a SSD yet.
Might want to check that your house is grounded properly...

Ugh, I HATE the layout of this. There's not enough space in-between each outlet. Tons of these electronics use really wide outlet inputs. Heck, look at the marketing photos on officedepot's website. They show two extra wide outlet connectors clogging up another input. Basically making it useless. I hate when companies make a flawed product like this.

Quit using UPS a couple years ago & don't miss 'em. Like some others these days, I wonder if the battery can be replaced like was the norm a few years ago. Still, a good price if you wish. Repped.
Are you using something to replace UPS or build your own UPS?

If your using a computer with an ssd no matter how good your surge protector is say goodbye to your ssd when a sudden power loss happens. Happened to me....
Some models do have super capacitors to finish write operations before shutting off

Now if we can only get you to quit using McAfee you'll be into 2020

This is a great deal. I use these to keep my raspberry pi and Router going during power outage.
The Router lasts about 4 hours, the Rasbeery pi can go a long time. It only uses an average 2 watts. I have it as a Plex media server to keep all my iTunes music to stream everywhere without using up my phone or tablets storage.
