I want to want this, but at 10" bar and 18v I can't think of anything it can do better than a recip saw.

I only got it because I have a very small tree in my yard. It's great to cut down the branches each year so I don't have to constantly duck under it while I'm mowing the yard

Just got this. Should be great for basic trail crew clean up in the woods.

I used a buddy's and was really surprised at the great job it did. Much better than a recip for the job. Thanks, OP.

Good deal if this is all you need, otherwise go bigger and brushless - those are great for all-around work. Spend the difference for the capability.

You can do anything this saw can do much cheaper and easier (with no maintenance) with just a reciprocating saw and a $2 Diablo pruning blade.

You better have a big battery if you're gonna do thiis. My little hackzall does but it eats the batteries in no time with the pruning blade.

I have this model and it works great for those thin branches that are too thick to prune but the reciprocating saw just shakes.

This exactly. I have both the chainsaw and reciprocating and the chain saw is about 6000% better for cutting down bushes and such where the branches are so flexible the reciprocating saw will just move them back and forth. Chainsaw also cuts a lot faster.

I have the 8" electric pole saw and although I'm not cutting down trees with it, you wouldn't believe the size of branch it will cut. I'd jump on this but my pole saw pretty much handles everything I need it for.
