ASUS RT-AC68U Router at Newegg for $99.99 After Coupon

$99.99

Newegg has the ASUS RT-AC68U WiFi router for $139.99 minus $40 off w/ promo code 9BFCMPC42, limited offer

https://www.newegg.com/asus-rt-ac...6833320174

Sold by and delivered by Newegg, with free shipping, and extended holiday return offer (return by January 31, 2020.)

You bet "limited offer" since you won't find this at any legit authorized reseller for less than $129.

This is ASUS' best AC1900 WiFi router. The RT-AC1900P is this same router, but with a 1.4 GHz dual-core CPU vs. this model's 1.0 GHz dual-core CPU. The difference is only bragging rights, and the RT-AC1900P is a Best Buy exclusive that sells for a lot more.

The merlin firmware keeps all the asus features and adds a bunch of enhancements. Great router. Using it now.

This or the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4 that was on sale for $99? This will be for general use and a slight amount of gaming.

If it's the archer c7 or rebranded a7 (honestly eff this company) I recommend against. The price suckers people in and wire cutter recommendation makes me never trust wire cutter again. The range on the 5Ghz is crap on that device. 2.4 has great range but it's slow as hell. This 68u (or for the adventurous/novice, tm1900ac) is great at both for the price. Throw in AiMesh and it's a true slick deal. $100 is a lot for the 68u but it still gets updates and very few wireless AC devices go beyond the specs on the ac68u. Highly recommend

Seriously. I bought this router from Amazon in 2016 for 109.99. Crazy that the price hasn't really moved.

It has been on market for many years. I would thumb down for this price as T-Mobile variant was $50 for many many times many years ago.

Yes, very shocking such an old router is still selling for $100. You'd think a 6 year old model would be long extinct by now. Also happy with a couple TM-AC1900 in mesh with Merlin.

I have the T-mobile one, and Wyze WiFi connection is so weak. I can't figure out the problem is from router or Wyze.

Got this router when it first came out 6 or 7 years ago and it died the other day. Extremely happy with it though. Was an awesome router. Best one I've ever owned.
