It is weird they have not done any promos on it yet. It makes you wonder how much they want it to succeed.

You have to remember it is Nvidia selling it. If it was Amazon or Google, they would sell the hardware at loss and make gazillion on profiling you and data mine you, pushing you on their services and so on. Not only Nvidia can't do that on the same scale, this item really has no real competition from what I am reading.

I've been looking too and I haven't seen any. I thought I was going to pick it up this year.

same here.. I thought with the new one being released they'd be blowing the old ones out.. not so apparently.
I know last year there was some great deals on it, this year there seems to be nothing.

Best thing I got is to make anew google shoping account and order from best buy through google for $20 dollars off (20% off Welcome Bonus max $20). Thats what it looks like I'll do, shocked they aren't blowing out the old models 6.4.1

Turns out the old models are the same as the new ones. The old ones with the game controller are the best deal (unless you want the new remote and don't care about gaming).

They have premium product, why bother? They can ramp shown and up production easily.

Closer but not exactly. I am also sure the old one will stop receiving updates in near feature just because ...

The new models have the Tegra + chip over the Tegra. They also added amazing 4k upscaling to the new version. I have been debating getting the old one or the new one . $100 for 4k upscaling is a bit much imho.

Right - but they are competitive with graphics cards. I would think they would partner more with Google to be more aggressive in the market place. Roku, Fire TV, and even Apple TV are all well known. It is just odd the they are soft playing the Shield.
