For those who missed the Walmart deal , this is the 2nd best option for 10 bucks more. You can still order this online!

Isn't the standard 2 and 1/2 in hose?
I'm not familiar enough to know what is "standard" but 2" is at least fairly common, a bit more than the similar home depot offer, and a big improvement over the 1.25" that comes with this.

Bought it BF 2018 for same price. Very nice vacuum, very powerful. The only downside like others have mentioned is the hose diameter. It gets clogged sometimes when vacuuming small pieces of cardboard or other random stuff after construction. Invest in a larger house diameter to solve that problem.

Is it just under powered?
Yes. Check the specifications. This vac supposedly develops 6 Hp yet it can only move 75 CFM of air. That's why it is supplied with the 1-1/4 inch hose. The smaller diameter hose causes air to move faster but also clogs easier when large objects (leaves, wood shavings) are encountered.

Just picked up this morning. The larger hose from the shop-vac vacuum I'm replacing fit perfect. As is it'll be good for cleaning the car but definitely need the larger hose if you're going to use it in the shop. The suction is really damn good and it's not so bulky that it's difficult to dump like so many other shop vacs. Attached to my tablesaw and thickness planer this thing catches almost everything. Very happy with it.
***also in store they had replacement filters on sale. they said buy 1 get 1 for$14 but was able to get 1 for $7

GGRRRrrrrr... Starting to get quite the collection of garage vacs and parts.

While this one isn't 16 gal like the home depot ridgid is, this one does come with a couple of tools.

Shop Vac and this promo is tired. Time to change it up. Maybe a DeWalt vacuum?

Truck delivery is available for $79 but Ship To Home is not available (even with an order > $45). The closest it is available locally is 12 miles away, so a gallon of gas round-trip.

Air Flow (CFM) is only 75?

But the 8 Gallon version is 145:

And this can be used as blower?

FYI, I ended up buying both this Shop Vac and the Craftsman one from Ace to compare.

I learned that (1) I absolutely hate the short/wide design of the Craftsman in person as I did in theory and (2) the "2.5-inch" hose of the Craftsman is exactly the same size as the "2-inch" fitting on the Shop Vac - the hoses are 100% identical.

Doing a quick measurement (without calipers) it seems the fitting ID is ~2", the OD is ~2.25", and the OD of the hose itself is ~2.5" - so, seems it's all the same size, but just named a bit differently. In the end, tried the big hose of the Craftsman on the Shop Vac and felt it seemed plenty good for me. Plus, the default hose on the Shop Vac is almost a perfect fit for my Dewalt saw I'll mostly hook into this. For me, the Shop Vac easily wins. (Plus, the new deal today with 50% off reusable filters for the Shop Vac is a big plus - confirmed these filters will not fit the Craftsman, nor the Rigid.)

Hope this helps if you (or others) might still be on the fence!

Don't buy online at Lowe's. They haven't figured out how to provide a reliable sales channel. Bought and was confirmed shipment only to find out after numerous attempts to get hold of them that they didn't have the product and didnt know when it would be available again. Pretty poor service for a Black Friday offering...
