Check out this Idea List on Amazon: Hue lights strip http://a.co/8DPXX0e

Currently $48 in total pre tax

I currently use 5 of these and they've worked great. but when setting up with hue hub the first time you want to be really close to the hub. after that I've had no issues. if you need more recommendations I suggest checking out the Reddit subs for hue and gledopto.

I use one of these for a TV backlight that changes colors dynamically through the Sync app. It's awesome for movies and games. Good deal

If six feet is what you are looking for this is a good simple option but for a little bit more you could get a 16 ft on Amazon paired with a gledopto controller that works really good.
