Does this come with that fluffy head for hardwood floors? It doesn't say anywhere on the site. TIA.
It should. That's what separates Absolute from Animal

It looks like Walmarts description now says 6 months parts and labor warranty rather than the 2 year initially mentioned.

For that reason, I think the lower price and 18 months more warranty on the V8 Absolute is the way to go

I'll give the v10 a try. I had a refurb v6 that's going on 3 years now, no issues. I'll take the gamble on this refurb unit!!

2/3 refurbs were great. V6 from 2 years ago looked brand new and still going strong.

Bought 2 V8s (gifts) last year. Both had noticeable scratches. One worked like new, the other had a bad battery that died after 5-6 minutes of regular speed use. I tried to return via Dyson's refurb eBay store but was told to make a warranty claim and I just never got around to it. It worked well enough to use in our kitchen so we kept it.

I replaced the battery with a cheapo unit from Amazon 2 months ago... it lasts forever now, even on high speed! I wish I'd made a warranty claim on time. I'd still buy another refurb for myself, but not as a gift (scratches and potential warranty claim).
Did you get V8 absolute? So you can replace the battery (easily?)

It is 6 months for refurbs typically, but the listing mentions 2 years. Not sure, may need to confirm with Dyson.
I don't know why this shows 2 years but walmart website says 6 month

Is the V10 worth $50 more than the V8? Thinking about setting up a return for the $250 V8 that I bought last night.

Yes I have the Absolute and it was very easy to replace, look for videos online. There was a torx security screw so you need the special bit

Well, this one from QVC that you linked doesn't included the soft fluffy roller, which is great for hard floors. Also, it is $200 higher.

Well, I assume that you are comparing a "new" V8 Absolute ($249) to a "refurb" V10 Absolute ($299)? Tough to say, it's mainly personal preference, from what I've read, performance wise, they will be similar, with the V10 having some performance improvements over the V8.

One thing to consider is that the "refurb" V10 only has a 6mo warranty; whereas, the "new" V8 has a 24mo warranty.

I personally went with the V10 refurb.

Another thing to remember is that you get a few extra free tools with the "new" V8.

Also, if you jump up to a "new" V10 Absolute ($399) direct from Dyson, you can get a free V10 Dok, if you need that sort of accessory vs wall mount, probably a good choice, and potentially better buy. I didn't need this Dok, as I prefer a wall mount.

You can also pickup a "refurb" V8 Absolute on eBay for $229, but I think if you are going with a V8, get the "new" model direct from Dyson with the free tools and much longer warranty.

So many choices 🤯

eBay is having it for 290. Any reasons not to buy it there instead? And do you think it's worth the savings of $110 compared to new one?
