Dude. System came from Texas filthy and caked in dust in all the vent holes. Scratches on screen, several white scuffs on bottom. 3 of the 5 airpockets used for padding were popped. Everything smells like a mix of fabreeze and shame.

System powers on, but only once got a signal from the system to the TV via HDMI and only for a few minutes, then lost it. Tried it on a new 4k tv, old 780 tv, and my pc monitor.

I thought I had 30 days per the box, but that seems to only refer to time for exchange. If I want my money back, I have 7 days?

A few years back I bought a garage sale console from the early 90s in better condition. Is this normal from GS? I thought this is what they do and therefore would do it well. I ordered another bundle hoping I just lost the die roll on the first one.

Baby needs a new pair of shoes...
Update:
Second system arrived in much better condition. Although it was a Mario bundle, it can with Zelda unique gamepad. It even had the stylus. Original did not. Also ordered some B1G1s. Tried all discs. Mario and L worked fine, the original system came with one that wouldn't read. But MK8 was no good. So I took everything in store. Returned first cradle of filth system and games (swapping out generic cases for originals as needed). I returned MK8 and store ordered me (even exchange essentially) a new one from online (store was out of stock). Had it in two days.

Employee told me sending store would get dinged for sending out shifty product. They are supposed to verify everything works and clean it when they accept trade in. Certainly before sending it out. Discs can be damaged on top too apparently. MK8 had a scratch on cover sticker that probably kept it from reading.

Took me at least 30 minutes in store though. Defeats the point of shopping online to have to take everything in store to fix. I honestly don't know how GS is still in business. I don't wish them to close, but I just don't see a future.

honestly they're assholes. i know for a fact they like to ding people on trade in credit by tacking on refurbishing fees when an item is scratched etc. 9/10 they won't send out shit to actually get refurbished because it counts against their store numbers

My experience so far has been good. wouldn't say perfect. Reason being the condition of used games isn't good. But service from 3 different stores was excellent. I've exchanged games 3 different times and each time is hassle free, quick and painless. Not sure you could ask for anything more than that.

I just realized the timing. I ordered on the 28. I quickly tested and things seem ok, but it's a Christmas gift so not being used at all until after Christmas. I'll be out of my 30 day window. I guess i'll have to hope things hold up and aren't "hiding"

Yea that's going to be limited test run. GameStop extended returns until first week of January. May want to confirm with local store first. I think you'll be ok there.

Isn't this supposed to include the Control Pad charging cable? Kinda hard to test things out without it.
Glad I didn't wait til after Christmas to find this out. . .but everything looks beat up, and the control pad rattles on the right side when shaken. . .so if it's more than the missing cord I'm gonna be ticked off as I might not be able to replace it in time. They are worse than knockoff ebay sellers of used cell phones. . .even though they are a billion dollar plus company???
