I was in the same situation a few years back, bought a Wii U, no regrets. Unless you need to play Gamecube games, the Wii U should play all your old games and use all your Wiimotes, so it works out really nicely. Wii U games were few in number, but many great ones.
One of the main reason im thinking to get this, i believe this has a HDMI port? Right now component cables to my HDTV is really hard to play with the analog signal. I don't want to invest into a framemeister $300+. Anyone can chime if this indeed has an HDMI port and how it plays on a 4K TV? Also this plays Gamecube games or only Wii games? Thanks!

I ended up ordering all 3 bundles. May end up returning the Zelda one as I don't really play Zelda...

Hell of a deal! I was torn between this and the Zelda bundle, eventually went with Zelda but you really can't go wrong either way. I was going to get a switch but the price of games is insane, even pre owned.
Link to Zelda Bundle? what it come with

Yes it has an HDMI port out, so it is 1080p. I play it on a 65 inch 4K TV and it looks good to me. Then again I'm not an audio or videophile.

Agree. It ticks me off that Nintendo is just recycling all the games from the Wii U for the Switch. There's like 3 exclusive Switch games that are good.

Think imma grab it laugh out loud HDMI makes a difference to play it playable. Easy to make it play GameCube games? Appreciate SD'ers how difficult it is. Also i dont sign in online when modded correct?

I just ordered one. I hope I can mod it. 😁
It's not that hard to do. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube. https://jacksorrell.tv/tutorials/nintendo-wiiu/
