You don't have to be a new member to get this deal? As a current member, I just have to get the CC and spend $55 to get $55 back?

As a credit card churner, a $55 sign-on bonus is crap. Why not get a better card, take advantage of better sign up bonuses, and still use it at Sam's? Many offer cash back on the exact same categories.

I have been wanting to get the Sam's Club MasterCard so this was the perfect opportunity.

I made my purchases, took customer service less than two minutes to apply and was approved immediately. The $55 was credited towards my purchases today.

Until Dec 31, 2019, all scan and go purchases will qualify for 5% cash back in addition to other cashback categories.
