I recently got just the 3qt saucepan. It's good quality stainless cookware, not the cheap stuff with a disk. If you want all-clad but don't want to spend as much this a good choice IMO.

I already ordered the Anolon deal from Macy's. Is this a better value?

That's a tough call. I ordered the anolon SS too and feel that's a higher quality set but this is a great set at a different price point.

One major difference between the anolon deal is the multiclad pro does not contain copper. Aluminum is sandwiched between stainless steel in this set.

Yeah I'm looking for a good cookware set but I have no idea where to start. Been using cheap stuff my entire life, is this a decent "decent" set to start with?

Did the same. Ended up going with the anodized nouvelle and wondered the same thing.

Very good set for the price. I've used a set for many years and there are piles of review sites that rank it very highly.

Bought last year and the pans warped on our electric range quickly despite following the instructions. Pots are still good. We replaced the pans with AllClad and have been happy since. I'd recommend skipping. Wirecutter used to recommend these but removed them after many reports of warping, like mine.

I have this set for almost 5 years now and they hold up pretty well. No warping at all on electric and gas stove. Would recommend it.

Oh man, we just bought this yesterday for 10 bucks more. Anybody have any luck with asking for a price match?

doesn't hurt to ask. Amazon reps are usually super friendly.

this is basically for the "professional" home cook. like one or two notches below professional kitchen stuff (All-Clad)

FYI Bed Bath and Beyond has the 7 piece set for $120 if you use their Black Friday coupon. It's not as good as a deal if you use all the stuff in the 12 piece. But I didn't need the extra pot, pan, and steamer
