Basically I just ignore laptop specs because they're all so choked by thermals it doesn't even matter if it's i5 i7 RTX GTX anything...

How're the thermals on this?

Not familiar with TB3, but this should be able to support dual display with the right dock right?

You don't need any dock for that. It has hdmi 2.0 and display port 1.4 and using those two ports with proper cable, you can drive two 4K monitors at 60 Hz

Thermals are pretty good and slightly better than Y540 from Lenovo but below Y740. However, the processor and GPU does not suffer much due to Thermal or Power limit throttling. I have the previous Gen model with GTX 1070 Max-Q which has similar power consumption and tdp as GTX 1660 ti and while running demanding tasks, it does not get too hot. CPU goes around 91 C for couple of seconds and then hover around 78 degree to 84 degree while all the 6 Cores are stressed for elongated period of time..using handbrake for 4k conversion in H265. During Gaming, it stays at lower 80s most of the time.

That is a pain in the rear to have to connect every single cable? TB3 is suppose to eliminate that with one cable and a dock right?

You again need to connect two cables with the Display Outputs of the TB3 Dock. The advantage of TB3 dock is to provide tons of peripheral connectivity options from a single port but for each of those components, you need to connect them individually with the TB3 dock.

I use a Dell Thunderbolt 3 Dock myself which is connected to HP Omen 15t model. The dock has one HDMI 2.0 and two Display Ports and I connect two of my monitors using the DP. I still need two DisplayPort Cables to connect to my monitors.

Correct, just like any other standard docking station. However the reply comment stated I dont need a dock, just an HDMI and display port. I just want to make sure I'll be able to obtain a dock and use TB3 on this device

Yes, you will be able to use that. I just mentioned that if you need to connect two displays, then TB3 dock is not required.

I checked on Google but want to ensure. What's the max RAM on this? 16 or 32? This better than the Helios 300? The only diff seems to be the GTX card. Thank you,

64GB. Ram support is based on the CPU being used and available ram slots, irrespective of what manufacturers specify which is mostly the max ram they sell the product with. I7-9750H supports 64gb max and this has 2 slots and each can take 32gb module.

Just saw a slightly different config for $899.99 at local Microcenter: https://www.microcenter.com/singl...be66cd6f3b. Isn't microcenter config better than walmart's?
