Did many SDers get this? I got the one from Target and on the bottom right it looks like there's some bleed through. Thinking about taking it back but it's a pain hauling it back to exchange it. Not sure if I want the same one after this. It's only when the screen is dark so maybe it's a setting?
I got one, also experiencing backlight bleeding. You're right. It's a pain in the arse to return it. I'm going to keep it as the bleeding doesn't bother me enough.

Glad I'm not the only one, I'm going to call there tomorrow and see if I can get the money back. Bad thing is the deals are over for other brands. My guess is I could get another and have the exact same problem. Should have got the Hisense at BB.

Really I wonder how hard it was to get the Insignia 58 inch at Best-buy then. I Have not been to Best Buy on Bf in a while, but contemplated going for that TV.

As far as The Walmart i went to they had about 56, 58 Inch TV's and they passed out tickets to people in line. They had about 140, 40 inch TV's but didn't pass out any tickets.
I missed ordering the 65" Hisense at BB online, said out of stock for all stores around too. I decoded to just go to the store anyways, and they had pallets of them still and I got one. Shortly thereafter it became available shortly online again for delivery to store, so I ordered it that way to get my samsung 6% reward as wall making it 282. They still had the 58 insignia that day as well

Looking for another TV for the basement rec room. I don't have experience with this brand but my other tv is a TCL, and that piece of junk freezes / crashes on me pretty much after every 2 hours of watching. Very annoying.

No win situation - I own the Hisense and it has backlight bleed on the bottom. Of course all things considered others might have more or less the same issue. It's my experience, it goes with the territory.

Other levels of manufacturing would test the unit see the backlight bleed and either can the unit or send it back, but that adds additional cost and on these BF/CM models, they simply won't make the profits they want if they take that much care.

I got the Hisense from BB and no bleeding on that. 2 other issues though that I'm hoping a software update will fix. Channel scan will find 110 digital channels and 1-2 analog but when finished it only shows 1 channel. Also my Fire Stick 4K doesn't show in 4K but it does on my other TV's just fine. Clearly it's the TV and hopefully a software will fix it.

I can't really tell from the image you attached where the bleeding is. Mine have heavy bleeding from all edges. I'm gonna contact Target to see if I can exchange it for a different one. I also ordered the Toshiba 65" for $349. I'll keep that if Target doesn't have any replacement.

Bluish tint on the bottom left and right corners. The right is more pronounced.

I see it now. Thanks. mine are on par with your TV. It's a shame. I really love the tv, especially the Roku interface. Very easy to use. I'm hoping Target will have another one to replace this with.

Bought one last night, sound doesn't work at all! Sending back today, but assuming they won't have anymore to exchange.
Element is perhaps the BEST of the Worst TV you can buy next to stellar brands like RCA and Sanyo and Philips.

Also forgot Westingthouse.

Tough to pick a winner of the worst.....probably Sanyo with Element as an honorable mention

If the Element was 150 bucks.....I would not buy it. Better get that extended warranty direct with target.

Costco does not carry Element since they dont want the return line around the block.

It take more than a six pack for me to buy Element tv at any price

You can fix that easy. Remove a few t screws on the back panel to relieve pressure Most panels responds to change in pressure and your backlight will go away. There are youtubes on this problem. It is an easy fix. Your problem is not that bad.
