I need a pair of glasses to keep in the car. They dont need to be anything fancy..something cheap that won't make it hard to see with oncoming traffic at nights

Try Zenni Optical as they are running a 20% off for a few days now too. Good luck.

I've been looking at Black Friday glasses deals, and for OP's specific request - a pair to keep in the car (presumably as a backup) - I think this G4U deal is the best. I like Zenni's products (and I did order a pair from them with the 20% discount) but G4U will generally be cheaper, and they'll produce a pair that's totally serviceable. Perfect for a backup.

@OP - if you want a slightly nicer pair or you like some of the options Zenni offers that G4U doesn't, then you can't go wrong with Zenni either.

tl;dr: cheaper = G4U, nicer = Zenni, but they both make quality specs

My strategy isnt for everyone - but it works great for me. I order cool designer frames-only off ebay, sometimes used, most of the time just clearance stock, checking every once in a while until the right deal pops up. I've sometimes shopped around for frames retail and then find them much cheaper online.

Then I order lenses from replacealens.com out of Colorado - love their service and quality. Mail them the frames and prescription and get exactly what I want for a small fraction of retail. I've used them too when my prescription changes. I've always submitted the frames and lens purchases for HSA or FSA reimbursement for that extra pre-tax savings too.

You could always shop around and find a pair of frames you love for your new "daily drivers" and put your current pair in the car for those "oh shoot it's dark and I forgot my glasses" moments.

Finally, that lens replacement service is a great option for when you find that cool pair of vintage raybans in the thrift store with scratched up lenses - send them in for a fresh replacement lens in your script.

Thanks. They don't have to be anything special at all. I only need glasses that I could keep in the car to drive. I missed out on this deal at gg4u + FS. Im going to wait till CM to see what else pops up. I don't understand why they would end that deal right before shopping season. Confused

I want to spend $6 max.

Thanks Tarnish, do you think they work on sports glasses too? My son is going to start playing basketball and it looks like sports frames are so expensive.. I'm looking at ebay now an am hopefully replacelens.com works on them.
