People can and should share what ever they feel positive or negative as both help purchase decisions. It's like advice free and varied but in the end you have to make up your own mind. Regarding the device I think it could be better with the ssd considering the price

How does it fair up with this model? This model below also has the 240 screen and I was thinking I could add a stick of memory making it 32 Gigs of ram. I also know this is the RTX 2070.

Man, that's a nice system. How is the cooling solution?

Complete garbage you already know. I have this same system but with the 2060 and it throttles out of the box. 90c plus if I start tetris on it.

I have to pull it apart and repast cou/gpu this weekend and the mobo is mounted upside down. This thing is like defusing a bomb look it up on YouTube.

After an undervolt and repaste plus adding cooling pads to ssd's and new ram with heat sinks on it.. I hear it's an amazing computer.

You can get the same price by configuring an HP Omen [hp.com] 15 or 17-inch, with the option to upgrade different parts such as the CPU to an 8-core, or save money via downgrades.

Thoughts on this vs. the 17 inch HP Omen for same price of 1999?

Omen by HP 2019 17-Inch Gaming Laptop, Intel i7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (8 GB), 16 GB RAM, 512 GB Solid-State Drive, VR Ready, Windows 10 Home (17-cb0090nr, Shadow Black)

The RTX 2070 has been seen in 17" IPS-level, 144hz refresh rate, 16 GB of RAM, i7 9750H, for around $1400, so I have no clue how anyone could be willing to pay more for the exact same thing with a smaller, and crappier display. That is my personal input.

Omen have pretty poor quality control. I own an Omen 17" rx580 and it took 3 attempts at replacements before I got a working laptop. The other complaint is thermal levels are high.
