I am in Bay area and most of my orders since yesterday show up with delivery date of Dec 2nd (5-6 days). Only option for a 2 day delivery is a pick up location 15 miles from me in San Jose downtown.

Has Amazon stopped supporting 2 day delivery?

I am in Sunnyvale... I have the Monday Dec 2nd option on most orders today. I've noticed though, that recently the 2 day option has been missing from some of my orders. I usually go for the $1 digital credit anyway, but sometimes its just annoying that we are paying for prime and don't have the free 2 day ship option.

Exactly what I am seeing since yesterday – all deliveries on Dec 2nd. Prime is becoming a joke when Walmart and Target are picking up speed.

I'm in New York and we have been a 1-day prime area for a few months. Everything today is showing on the site as delivery on Thursday the 5th... (regular stuff, not BF deals).

It's always like this during major sales. The dates move farther back as the day goes along because there are so MANY orders. This is the advantage of making your order earlier in the day vs later.

Just like all the shipping logistics companies, they can't get enough seasonal workers to deliver the packages from all the turkey day and Black Friday purchases. It was like this last year from Thanksgiving until Christmas.

I've been having some issues for weeks now, probably since late summer if I really think about it. I get frequent 'your package is delayed, sorry about that' kind of messages, and then it takes another day or two to actually get the shipment. All normal stuff. I'm not in a major metropolis, but a suburb of one, so I'm curious as to what has been going on. On top of it my packages have frequently been left in my driveway instead of my porch or mailbox. At least once I've almost run over the package because it was placed behind my car. I've noticed that each time this happens it's a Amazon Prime van delivering it instead of the regular mail person.

Same here except for the driveway part. But I have watched a guy shotput a box from my driveway to the porch.

I mean it's Black Friday, think of the billions of online orders placed on Amazon alone--it would probably be logistically impossible getting everyone's prime orders in time. I've never expected to get an online order within two days on Black Friday; on Sephora last year, I waited damn near three weeks like it was 1999 or something.

Outside of major holidays, I usually get stuff with free one day shipping if it's a product direct from Amazon (as opposed to a seller). Last month I bought like $3 worth of office supplies and it came the next day lol.

I personally don't mind waiting a few extra days, especially since I get the $1 digital rewards.

I ordered something on Thursday, with the order confirmation email saying delivery on Sunday. This morning I get a shipping email...with the new delivery date of next Thursday (A week after I ordered/4 days late)....so even impacting orders after they were placed.

That would be fine if the shipping were free. However, customers are paying for prime and are not getting what they pay for.

I always have the expectation that every Amazon Prime order I place will be delayed. It seems like their local delivery people/subcontractors or horrible or they don't have capacity.

Update, all my packages ended up arriving within 1-2 days despite them giving me a extended window of 6 days.

Double check the vendor that you are purchasing from is from Amazon.

Around holiday time alot of third party vendor sells stuff on amazon.

I still got 1 to 2 days shipping on most of my orders.

Also there were a snow storm that is effecting a lot of central and east part of the coast. That might also be a factor if the warehouse are around these area.
