Anyone know how long this deal is going on? HD is closed now and no shipping.
You can order for store pickup. The price should be the same (discounted) when you pickup tomorrow or later.

I think this go on sale once or twice a year only.

What??? How's it exhausting to use a 2.5" hose? Are you talking the cheap black plastic ones? Those are a pain and I wouldn't recommend. The larger 2 1/4" hoses designed for vacuuming your car are extremely flexible. I highly doubt you would be able to tell a difference between handling one of those and the smaller Ridgid. The benefit of the larger hose is better vacuuming. There's a reason why car washes use the larger 2 1/4" hoses. The Mr Nozzle hose I linked is Made in USA if that matters to anyone. The nozzle also stays put on it. My Ridgid nozzles pop off the hose all the time. It really is a shit set.
Lmao you two should get married

2.5 inch is alot better. Thats what pro vac (quarter machine) hoses are. 1.25 is too small for larger debris like twigs, leaves, popcorn, chicken bones, and screws.

The adapter I am using from mine is seperate from the muffler. There are two pieces to it. If you look at the link I posted, I am using the part with the red latch.

Confirmed that the piece (of the muffler) is an exact adapter for the thinner hose provided in this kit. Not sure if Ridgid is now shipping smaller hoses with their vacs ... but thanks for posting your solution. I've decided to keep the kit as it appears well made and gives me more capabilities over and above the accessories that came with the vac.

No thanks. Larger diameter is overkill for most jobs. The ridgid one does not clog. Don't listen to this person.

I purchased this smaller hose me version because it was exhausting to use the 2.5 inch one hoses.

Totally recommend this at this price.
Gotta disagree my small hose clogs all the time.

This will be better. Larger diameter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000022..._lig_dp_it

I regretfully bought the Ridgid one last year and the inside diameter of the nozzles are so small that even water bottle lids plug them up.
How about picking up your trash first?

Anyone have this happen? This is the third time I ordered something from HD, the website said plenty in stock but I rec'd a call from my local store saying out of stock, we have to cxl your order. Fortunately, this time Amazon has it at the same price, so I was able to order from there.

I made the mistake of purchasing this hose kit last Christmas. As others have stated it's too small in diameter and plugs constantly!

For years the 2.5" hose was the standard for the larger shop vacs then they went to a 1 7/8" probably to save money? Anyhow my old NOS Ridgid uses the good 2.5" hose and my newer 16 gal RIDGID uses the 1 7/8" hose. It kinda stinks as I have to keep the vacuum accessories separate. BTW my 16 gal Ridgid will indeed take a 2.5" hose at the connector but all the tool holders on the Vacuum itself hold only the 1 7/8" accessories!

The other issue I had with this small car accessory hose is I don't think the adaptors it came with worked with my 1 7/8" shop vac? It may be reversed however and wouldn't fit on my 2.5" hosed shop vac? I do remember having to rummage through a bunch of my reducers to get it to connect.

Summary, I don't know why they don't offer the larger 1 7/8" car cleaning kit on sale but the 1 1/4" one advertised isn't worth the trouble IMO. Constantly having to stop, unclog and start again. The flexibility and extra length is cool but that's about it.

I think this is a great deal. I have two of these sets from previous Ridgid vac promotions (14 gal NXT, 4 gal), and my experience has been good using it for normal car vacuuming and general dirt/sawdust. Admittedly, it does get clogged with scrap cutoffs, sticks, discarded socks, watermelon rinds, corn cobs, and rotisserie chicken carcasses but for vacuuming carpet, upholstery, and hard to reach areas, the accessories are great and the hose is super flexible and sufficient for "normal" car vacuuming purposes.
