The concept is great, but when you run low in one of the large containers, the food gets stale due to the fact that there's increased air volume, so it defeats the purpose. This from personally owning a set of 10.

Looks like there are two different versions. I got two different ones from two different Kohl's orders.

What do you mean by two different versions? I have a bunch of these (around a dozen) at home that we bought about a year ago, and they're all the same.

How big would it need to be for food to go stale? You feeding a fish?

I bought some last year and without thinking ordered more last month. Their lids do not match. May be a design change from last year.

LOL. For some reason, I thought I read you were using this for pet food. Sorry Smilie

That said, it may depend on humidity. We use the 4 qt for many food items and no problem (arid Utah).

this is why i use wide mouth ball jars instead of these silly things.
i dump a 2 lb's bag of coffee beans into a half gallon ball jar, and
once it's half full i transfer it to a quart jar, later to a pint, etc.
you could do the same with these oxo, but ball are much cheaper.

Are there actual photos somewhere of the sizes/dimensions of these containers? There are so many versions and it's hit or miss.

They are coming up to be $29.99 now, not $19.99. Maybe the deal expired ?
