Verizon Wireless is offering a YouTube TV trial to postpaid customers on Unlimited data plans free for 30 days ($49.99 value). This trial is normally only 5 days, so great way to test the service for those that are curious.

Make sure to set a calendar reminder for yourself at the 30 day mark, in case you decide to cancel it. The subscription can be added or cancelled within the My Verizon app or website, don't need to talk to anyone.

To subscribe to YouTube TV in the My Verizon app:

Tap Menu.
Tap Account. Sign in if requested to do so.
Tap Add-ons.
Go to the Entertainment tab.
Find YouTube TV and tap Manage.
Tap Enroll.

Thank you!

I'm getting "We can't complete your request right now."

Not a current YouTube TV subscriber, but I did have a trial in the past. Must only be for those who haven't had a trial before and are new subscribers.

Edit: Apparently it went through anyway. Got the welcome email from Google and now have a month free Smilie

2nd Edit: Nope, now it says I have "1 free day" left. Make sure you double check your account subscriptions to be sure. Says "Next charge: Nov 30, 2019..."

I saw this yesterday. Do you know if it's a promo that will pass or will it be a standard for a Verizon account?

YTV is great imo. I think it's just a one time deal. Hoping I'm wrong though.

Why would Verizon do this? Competes with their own services and makes me want to switch.. I heard good things and will try it out

I'm not sure. Usually promos like this they don't advertise an end date, they just pull them randomly. I'm sure it's based on how it's received by customers. It's only 30 days, not really a reason to save it when you could then miss out altogether.

Anything that they're able to tack on your monthly bill (YouTube TV, Apple Music, Disney+, etc) I'm sure they get a cut.

Vance has nothing to do with YouTube TV.

Is there a way to do this on my sister's account. She has postpaid. I'm logged in to her Fios but I only have prepaid.

Once you register for the trial does it matter which Google account you use? Is it tied to the Verizon account?

Its a subscription billed through Verizon. So you cancel with VZ. Like Disney, Apple Music, etc. VZ must be getting a backend commission from these providers.
