It does, but the model number is for the 1TB - WDS100T3XHC

500GB is WDS500G3XHC

It states that it is available in 500gb. It's just advertising its other size.

I believe WD recommends not removing the heatsink. I have a non heatsinked version of this drive (which I think they want $130 for in this sale) and they prob have to adhere it with some sort of adhesive.

The heat sink is from a third party cooler called EK water blocks. Since it's a third party, wouldn't it be removable? Just curious here
