Nobody should be buying this on slickdeals.net unless you have so much money that it is a slickdeal to buy 3 gpu's and do nitrogen overclocking LOL
It is a slickdeal. Not every one who desires higher wattages and efficiency ratings are gamers or overclockers.

Thats the reason I bought it. I need to build a system with 4x GTX 1080 for processing images.

Yikes and I thought my 1000w PS was about the most you could get for home PC's.

This is likely meant for Crypto mining rigs from a year or so ago. They're probably getting rid of old stock since GPU mining is no longer popular. It does come in handy for someone that wants a crazy setup for video processing.

If you have a system that NEEDS 1600w, would you trust it on a $90 rosewill PSU? A lot of hardware to cheap out on the PSU imo..

"good for"?

You can run multiple 2060's with it. No offense but If you have to ask then this is overkill for your build.

That and it's almost twice as long as your usual PS. 9.45" vs 5.91" on an EVGA Supernova etc. which could cause you issues depending on your case.
