Batman and Robin!
Seriously, why even mention the others?

Greatest drinking game ever! (shot every ice joke, crotch shot, editing gaffe, cheesy line; see how far you make it!)

Thanks, only interested in the first two anyway! For the movie buffs, any inkling the first two might drop lower in the coming weeks?

Pay for Batman Forever?
Didn't Clooney say he owed anyone that watched Batman and Robin royalties? (It was that bad)

I actually think Batman Forever is a bit underrated. Nicole Kidman was a good female lead in it.

How are these 4K movies when they were most likely shot in 480i ?

Great, I have been waiting for this to drop in price since it came out. Mine came out to $65 after tax. Shipping is USPS, so that sucks, but that's the cost of getting a good deal, I guess.

They were never shot 480i, where did you hear that nonsense? The Batman movies (like most movies) were shot on 35mm film. They take the original negative film strips and run it through special scanners (usually 4K, 8K, or 12K scanners) to pull out every last bit of detail. Then they clean up scratches and do the appropriate stabilization, color grading, HDR pass to master a super high resolution, minimally compressed digital version - a master. That master is then used as a source to create the 4K disc, 1080p disc, 480i DVD, 720p digital stream: everything comes from it.

I have seen the Batman 4K disc in action and it is phenomenal looking - one of the better looking 4K movies that money can buy. From the reviews I have read of the other movies, they are all quite excellent.

They used digital 480i back then?

I'll go ahead and say it and take the downvotes. The Burton/Schumacher films are much more fun and entertaining movies to watch on repeat viewings.

The Nolan films felt much more impressive during their respective era, but the Burton/Schumacher films have aged better. And, to me, the the Gotham Cities from Batman and Batman Returns had much more character than the ones in the Nolan films.

This kind of uninformed opinion is sadly all too common.

A single 35mm film image has MORE than enough information in it for 4k conversion.

Casablanca on 4K is flipping Amazing as an example.
