Actually I spent some times tonight doing some research and the new V11 Torque head works so well on hardwood they don't need the fluffy head anymore.

I can tell you you're wrong. And that's from someone who has both, and uses the fluffy head on his hard floors because otherwise the smaller dust/dirt particles don't get picked up.

Reading the forums on this and a previous deal thread the consensus seems to be that the fluffy head is necessary for wood floors. After using it for a month now I couldn't disagree more. One of the best features about this vacuum, in my opinion, is that you never have to change the cleaning head because it automatically detects what type of surface you are cleaning. I vacuum both types as our main floor is 80% wood and 20% carpet and it transitions flawlessly between the two. That said, I won't argue that the fluffy head is better for cleaning large objects on wood floors, just wanted to point out that as a family with young kids and a dog this does an excellent job without it. Note that if you aren't familiar with this model, there's a gate channel with 3 settings on the head which you can open for larger debris. I find it handles things like cereal on the floor with ease after a few passes. My advice is buy it and use it without the fluffy head to see if it suits your needs. You can always buy the additional head later if you choose. My guess is you won't find that you need it.

Did you buy the fluffy head or use previous version? I've got one from my v8 absolute I'm planning to use on the v11 I have coming, but part of me isn't sure it's not going to blow some electronic. But then the other part of me thinks dyson just repackaged the v8 fluffy head to sell it separately.
Vacuum is worthless for hard floors without the fluffy head. It's a joke they don't offer a V11 Absolute in the USA.
I actually own this vacuum. If you turn the power up, the suction is so strong that the torque head actually clamps to the floor. Feels like you could damage it by trying to force it along. Please comment on products you've used instead of passing on your buyers remorse.
The problem with this and all other Dysons is the shitty construction. Thing's made of cheap squeaky plastic, so expect to put that 2 year warranty to use unless you hardcore baby it. This model also has some issues with the torque head breaking when you try to clean it. I notice that the rubber back on the torque head is also susceptible to wear on hardwood. Can't imagine why they wrap a wonderful motor in such a cheap shell.
As for the deal, meh. I snapped it up for $380 at BBB in late summer. I certainly would like a stand and some extra tools, but not for $120. It comes with a wall mount.

You have the V11 specifically? The older models definitely needs fluffy head.

This is not a secret or surprise to some people. A lot of manufacturer like Logitech, BMW trying to use cheap plastic a long time ago. They don't expect to save money for the cheap plastic but just want more business coming in the next few years. Having a refrigerator or washer to use for 30 years has become the history.
