Where avail, price drops to $699 in cart. So far this is the best price this holiday season. Google had no specials on this for black friday, it was $999 on their site.
Like I really need it like I need a hole in my head but I found an open box i5 /256gig at my local Fry's for $475 and I couldn't turn it down!
UPDATE: Well I put it on reserve anyhow and its been almost 2hrs now and no email back saying it's ready! Seems like it's the same story with every other Chromebook deal I found online this weekend, its like the stores have there stock all screwed up or something and the orders wind up getting canceled in the end, oh well!!
UPDATE 2: Finally just as I suspected, I got an email saying my reservation was canceled then went to their website and low and behold there is now a brand new one available (same model) which wasn't available earlier, as they only had the open box one! I went ahead and put it on reserve and the price came out to 559 in the cart totaling 606.19 with taxes (vs 515 drive out on the other) and if I apply for their card I can get another 5% discount that would make it $575 drive out which still aint a bad deal (hell it would be over a grand anywhere else) but it still ticks me off as they must have remarked the original open box one brand new!! I reckon I'll head over there tomorrow and argue with them about their game playing a bit and see if I can get another discount! Wish me luck! Starting to wonder if it even going to be worth the headache and the 100 mile round trip drive on my day off tomorrow to go pick it up and deal with them! Lol!
Great price. But in store pick up only makes it difficult. No store near me .
I have to think at some point Google would match last years holiday sale price which was $699 , I just don't see the device selling a whole lot for $899. Not sure if their strategy anymore, thought for sure I'd see $699 at google store over Black Friday
Thanks for the info, I done gave up on getting a new one at MicroCenter, all they wanted to do was play games, might look for a used one.
UPDATE: Got lucky and found one (i5/128gb) on Ebay this evening for $400 and the guy lives just down the road. He claims its just like brand new and he never even hardly used it!
UPDATE 2: Finally got my Pixelbook in the mail from Ebay and it's battery health is 101.11% and it has a cycle count of 10 so as far as I an tell it's like brand new and its in mint condition! The heck with Microcenter! LOL!

Be careful when buying these used. Make sure you see a screenshot showing the number of battery cycles.
