I'd just recommend using the more power tool to unlock the wattman max clocks so you can easily revert.

I've always liked the look of of the RTX reference cards but preferred the AMD cards price of entry to get similar performance plus freesync being more readily available

This seems to strike a perfect balance for me by looking a bit like those reference cards!

The memory thermal pads. They cover only the bottom 40% of the memory chip, resulting in high memory temperatures that could shorten the life of the card. The fans are also much noisier than they need to be and are much louder than those on cheaper cards like the Sapphire Pulse. It is almost as loud as the reference design. I am so disappointed because I thought the card would fit so well with my build but now i'm going to wait for different card

Not sure if they are still doing it, but MSI used very cheap thermal paste for these cards. This caused terrible thermals and overall is unexceptable for the price. Again, I'm sorry if this is old news but be careful before firing the trigger.

Hope they are not cutting corners just to cut the price... That's shameful for MSI... AMD needs to start a price war with NVIDIA so gpu cards come down already!! but do it the RIGHT WAY

Totally agree. From what I've heard MSI had a pile of old thermal paste/pads and decided to use them. Terrible way to cut cost since it actually harms performance. Hopefully the rtx 3000 series and AMD rtx 5500 will further bring down prices.

this is what's keeping me from buying a higher end card because of price.. same thing with laptops.. the bastards put 1050s in laptops and called it a gaming laptop and pushed the 2060 laptops into the $1100+ range, so I as a consumer boycotted, I can hold out another year...

Same. I'm also holding out but I really want a new card for Microsoft flight simulator. Especially, since I just picked up a new 35 inch 100hz monitor

More like remediated.. for $400+ cards the consumer expects mint in box and on par with other mfg, not this...

Seems like the positioning is still lacking and MSI didn't say that it purged the stock of defective cards so I'm worried you could still receive one.

The rebate expired yesterday on 11/30. Does anybody know if there's an updated rebate form?
