This cooler looks awesome but really is so-so in performance. All that plastic severely blocks the airflow.
What I am tired of, is BF deals starting from Wednesday and nothing good on actual Friday, then Cyber Monday deals start on Sunday - why do they rush everything, lets leave CB for actual Monday, its no fun!

Was looking at that card for a last hour. Would it be a best buy for $$ 4K resolution card? Has a good reviews on Amazon:

Looks like they didn't include free games like other cards, are they come from redeemable code or register your card?

Retailers are just trying to get folks to buy from them rather than the competition hence the early sales prices.

Thanks! I've been trolling RX 5700 deals for the past week and am happy with this one. None of the 3rd party builds are perfect and for $100 less than the Gigabyte build, I'll be happy to tolerate a little fan noise.

After being defeated by a XFX 5700XT Raw II, I am out on these vanity coolers. Way too many of them are garbage and way too many have a zero DB fan bug where the fans never start.

After weeks of "testing" my Dads new 5700 with the reference cooler, which worked great and mostly was never heard, this XFX card was shipped with a bios that literally didn't spin the fans until it hit 100C and then ran them full speed like a dust buster. Installing the recommended drivers from XFX resulted in complete driver cluster F.

I put my 290x back in and returned it to Best Buy. Thankfully bought at brick and mortar so after wasting about 4 hours of my life I didn't have to add postage and a shipping delay to the terrible experience.

End rant. Sorry.

That's sucks...sorry to hear that....I'm always apprehensive whenever I throw in a new part into my systems...I want to try the 5700 or xt but right now using an older nvidia and wonder what kind of shinagins I'll get into by going red!

Normally I'd never rag on theses things, I've been using ATI and then AMD cards since the 8500 and 9500 Pro days - in other words from darn near the very beginning. Along the way I've used many nvidia cards too. For the longest time I would get restless every few months and change and having several desktops for "reasons" and the entire time the whole driver issues thing I felt was really overblown. Both side has had some issues, IMO.

This 5700 shenanigans with super crap coolers and BIOS configs is the first to really stop me. I think the blower coolers are fine. If I find a good deal on an XT or an amazing deal on 5700 vanilla I will pull the trigger again.

If my space heater of a 290x can run nearly silently in its MSI twin frozr glory, I don't get why these cards cannot do the same. It seems like lack of effort or something... and across nearly all of the manufacturers! Search reddit with darn near every specific model name and it's just one thing after the other!
