It's fulfilled by amazon but I'd make sure the 3rd party seller you select is an authorized denon retailer (most seem to be) so there's no warranty issues.

I went with the 2500. The 3500 is def better, but my budget is stretched for the holidays and I just wanted the little more power over the 1500

From what I've read, you should usually go with the x1500 or the x3500 depending on the features you need. You may be able to save some money on the x1500 - it's under 300 on accessories 4 less.

I probably could have gone with the 1500, but I didn't feel like I needed to step up to the 3500. I'm not a critical audiophile and I'm just running a small 2.1 for now, but I wanted the option of a 5/7.1 in the future

I'm just running a 3.1 (3.2 actually). I went with the x3500 because I wanted to use chromecast for a 2 ch music setup in zone 2.

The x3500 was the cheapest denon/yamaha that can output digital/hdmi audio to zone 2. Anything lower only does analog audio to zone 2.

I'm guessing it will be at least a year or even two. The x3400 and x3500 were almost identical. The x3600 is a big step up with the extra channels and more comparable to the x4500.

This is very important because the 3500 comes with the top of the line audyssey xt32. It's alot better than audyssey xt. Definitely skip the 2600 series.

Just for a price reference, the x1500 was $280 new on Black Friday (and it's $300 now).
