Amazing author, amazing books. Be aware, this is a series set in the same world as a much larger series, so if you like them you may be in it to buy/read another 12 or 13 books. All outstanding, but that's a big time investment. That being said, this is also a decent standalone that doesn't really involve the main characters from the larger series, so you could just read this as a one-off as well.

Robin Hobb is brilliant, I believe she is the best author in this genre, even better than R.R. Martin

Great over all series that all comes together in the end. Also the series is complete and had an ending. Makes me nostalgic thinking about the characters.

Could you also add, that this is at:

Kobo.com (my ereader)
bn.com

I don't really need kindle or google, but the other two I like to deal with.

No real critique, just wish it was more inclusive

I'm actually struggling through these right now. I'm about 20% done with book 3. This series has really been dull for me. Farseer Trilogy was great, then Liveship Traders Trilogy was great, then Tawny Man Trilogy was great, but man these Rain Wild Chronicles are just like they weren't even written by the same author so far. I hope there's some payoff at some point. Looking forward to being done with these and back to the Fitz and the Fool Trilogy.

Uhhhh, no. She's very, VERY good and one of the best in the genre IMO, but she's no Martin.

I will say that some of her stuff impacted me, and stayed with me more than Martin's. Psychologically engaging. She writes some very dark sh*t that tends to stay with you for a while.

Nice, front page. Robin Hobb is excellent. She is one of my favorite fantasy authors ever. Her prose is top notch, something I find lacking with modern fantasy authors, and her characters are so well realized. It's been hard for me to read other fantasy novels for the past couple years because she sets the bar so high.
