I have had this router now for about a year, and it has been rock solid. I don't know that I've ever experienced a drop on it. The hardest thing I had to do was to split the networks into separate bands (2.4 & 5Ghz) because my wifi swiches wouldn't connect until I did that. I can tell you including Alexas, switches, Rokus, laptops, phones, and tablets I have WAY more than 25 devices connected.

I bought one of these a year ago. Ended up getting a different setup (don't know why), sent Ben to this a week later. The speed and the coverage can't be best at this price. I paid well over $100 for this and I would highly recommend it. It covers every room in a 3500sq foot home.

So if I have 10 devices connected to this router will it frequently drop? I have 100 down internet.
I have 10+ devices, not using them all at once but I've never had an issue in a year of ownership.

This is definitely NOT the lowest price for this router. It was available for $59.99 back in 2017. That said, I've had this for a few years now and it's been working great!

I'm running this router as well. Lightning fried all the Ethernet ports after about 3 years of use (had other fried stuff in the house too). WiFi still worked though. Bought a replacement and its been solid for the past 3-4 months. We've got heck.... at least 10 devices on it. Of course never all at the same time, but 3 smart TVs, 2 cell phones, Amazon Echo, 2 desktop computers, 2 laptops, 2 security cameras, a smart ACoutlet, probably some other things. We had 400MB internet (and speedtested very close to that) and it all ran great. Recently upgraded to 1GB service and speedtest around 800MB pretty regularly.

Have had it for a few years now, working rock solid. Have about 15 devices connected to it, including google home, thermostat, phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and smart plugs. Switched off my att fiber router/modem signal and use this instead. Now just need to figure out if I can hook up a printer/hard drive to the USB port in the front and get it on the network.

Yep that's when I got mine. It's been rock solid since then. IMHO if your house isn't that big and your router is able to be in a central location this is a great choice and should last until wifi6 is more common.

This is fine if you just use it for simple usage. With multiple smart devices you will suffer endless 5ghz drops. I ended up hating this router with a passion I only reserve for certain inanimate objects.
LISTEN TO THIS PERSON! Got so sick of the 5ghz drops. Switching the channel seemed to help but I eventually just took everyone's devices off 5ghz except for mine lol.

FYI, they have 3 versions of this router if I am not mistaken. Version 3 is the one to get. I think Amazon sells both under netgear r6700

Purchased for my parents as an early Christmas present and installed on Thanksgiving to replace the ISP modem WIFI. They always complain about bad signal so I figured a decent WIFI router would be better than the WIFI provided by their ISP modem. I was wrong. The range on this was terrible. I will be going back on Christmas to try to play around with it to see if I can improve the range, but this seems like it may have been a waste of money. I purchased a couple of weeks ago when this was $70.

im about tempted to get this and give away my asus blue cave because it ahs some issue where if you DL a file it won't let you DL a second or even surf the web until it finishes the DL and asus is not a lot of help so far and I am past the 1 year point, although I did tell them about it well beforehand...
