I think because this is showing added sugar. Sugar diminishes the probiotic effectiveness. During the fermentation, sugar is fine and helps, but adding it after, kills it.

Yes it defeats the whole purpose and they really shouldn't call it kombucha anymore but they do. It's the only way to get rid of the small percentage of alcohol naturally present in kombucha

These are shelf stable. No live cultures in these. Totally agree with others, not worth it. Pass!
