It's a fish finder, not just maps.

what does this mean?
The 12-pin transducer features high wide band CHIRP traditional sonar and has a power rating of 250 W. The CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü (455/800 kHz) elements have a power rating of 350 W each (1,050 W total).

So am I correct in that this transducer has all these capabilities built in?

There's at least one CB site offering 12% back.

This means it has real down imaging, unlike the CV transducers.

These units also use g3 maps with are navionics.

Finally, these units are livescope compatible.

I have two echomap 93sv units along with livescope and the UHD transducers. Love them. Great size screen and touch is actually useful.

GPS on the boat is more so to help you get back to the ramp, mark hot spots on the lake, and avoid danger spots.

Fish findersnare More to find and Mark potential spots that have cover and environments that certain fish like. You can see fish and with livescope, you can really see fish .. but still you have to get out and just play with the units

Search YouTube.com/jaimeastin for more videos of me showcasing the Garmin setup. Bass pro has mentioned that I could possibly do a class on livescope. They told me that, lol.

Good deal for a 9" unit. This also comes with the current transducer. Last year they had this deal with the old transducer.

I bought the echomap plus 73SV last year and it's a great unit (same as this but smaller).

I did buy a helix 10 this year. all the images I see compared to garmin are more clear and defined on Humminbird.

With that being said, it's been mentioned, garmins biggest advantage is if you're getting livescope. Plus a 9" unit for $600 is about as good as it gets. I contemplated saving $400 from the helix 10 to get this, but I want to be able to compare for myself the 2 brands.

Just subbed. Started actively posting on my channel last month.
You should do more videos on the 93sv. Hardly any info out there on these units

Thanks for posting marine electronics. I love this. Currently have a Raymarine GPS chartplotter and Furuno bottom machine without Chirp on my boat and would like to replace in the next year or so. While not ready right now, it's great to see marine electronics deals on Slick.
