Waiting to hear from the pros before I jump on it..Is it too big for a ~ 200 sqft (11 *19) closed basement home theater?
Not a pro... No as long as you have room for the rear/bookshelf speakers. I have similar space and I drive a very similar set with a Yamaha putting out 140w/ch. Everyone loves it.

Denon X1500H is gonna be my recommendation although many will insist the X3500H due to the better acoustic software. I personally use the X1500H though and I have no complaints.
I like the Denon AVR-X1500H. Just picked it up for $299 at Electronics Expo.

With the way my living room is set up, it's rectangular with the TV facing the shorter side of the room. It's kind of open concept leading right into my kitchen and sunroom. Also, it kind of has a high tray ceiling. Is that conducive to a set like this or should I just not worry about getting nice speakers for such an odd room?
Buy these but sell your house for proper sound acoustics....

hmm this seems like a stupid good deal.

Before I do something stupid can anyone point me to a reasonable receiver that would pair with this?
I like the Denon models for their price/performance ratio, that said, you will want to get as much wattage as you can afford for a multi channel system. Specs will claim that it puts out so many watts per channel, but when you have 7 of them running it can dip pretty low.

Also, this should be fine up to a fairly large space. It should blow most anything you can get for that price out of the water handily.

The weak points, if you could call them that given the price, are the Sub, (it does not dip that low and the output isnt the highest) the center (dynamic range will not be as great as higher end models and it might lose clairity on overly complex scenes), and possibly the fronts if you would want something more high end down the line.

All this said I would be more than happy with this complete system for 999 or even more. The only reason I am so nitpicky with this in this comment is I spend too much of my disposable income on audio. This is great for what it is.

Well how good this sound system is to you, no one can answer. To everyone else that question will vary and be all over the place.

If you haven't listened to Klipsch brand before you might want to 1st because its a acquired sound preference.

I would point out this model falls on the lower end of their models.

No offense, Sonos is pretty good in term of convenience and some what stylish(not my favorite), but in term of sound quality, it is a completely joke for the price they asked.

I brought a play 5 back in days, and return it immediately after hearing it, it sounds no where near my cheap 5" bookshelf speaker.(I compared it to M-audio BX5 and Creative EMU X7)
sonos sub surprisingly sounds great. its mid bass is very clean

What a great deal. Wish I hadn't bought all the Sonys from best buy just a couple months ago, this is a fantastic deal at this price, only about $250 more than the entire set of Sonys...

Sub is junk and rears dont matter. Imo I'd get a solid front sound stage and a good sub and skimp on the rears
i got the complete infinity reference 5.1 setup for 683 shipped
All the speakers are top spec speakers
100% free returns

It would seem the sub is junk i would agree, the center speaker might be better than the RC263

I have older 676 (also 100W per channel) driving RF82 II, RC62II and RB 61 II. No problems at all.
