The 16:10 aspect ratio and being able to vertically adjust the height is specifically why I just bought this. Was looking into buying a Dell U2415 for a 16:10 monitor, but this is half the price and seems just as good if not better in many aspects. The only thing I don't like is that the physical buttons (e.g. power, menu buttons) are on the back of the monitor, which I have never seen before on a monitor, but I can live with this for half the price.

I'm anxiously awaiting to receive this monitor, but it seems like a super hot deal for anyone that's looking for a 16:10 monitor.

God bless the 16:10 ratio. The golden ratio of software development IDE productivity.

The problem with Acer is, it has a terrible customer support. If it stops working, even under warranty, you may as well forget it. I had my share, my 2 cents.

Warranty support not considered, this is a really interesting monitor.

Higher than 1080p resolution? Yes.
Higher than 60 hz w/Freesync? Yes.
Vesa Mounts? Yes.
HDMI & DP inputs? Yes.
Speakers for a clean desk or fall back use? Yes.

Full Spec sheet from Acer directly:

Like the other shopper, I was/am shopping this against the U2412M for use in an office settings and it sure does check a lot of boxes.

It's hard to beat Dell's warranty support, however, and that will probably keep me going with those tried and true monitors.

Wow it's hard to find 16:10 monitors. Once you use one it's hard to go back to 16:9, so much more space vertically. Good deal.

Got this in August for 115. Very happy with it in an office. Much sleeker than the U2412M. Also have the U2412M and the differences are more aesthetic. It really does check all of my boxes.

There's a viewsonic model or 2 that are 16x9 that rotate. You haven't IDE-ed until you IDE in portrait mode! (also great for previewing mobile apps in portrait)

If your company is buying, go for it. Otherwise, you can buy 2 of these & keep 1 in the closet as your "warranty" replacement.

Got 2 of these in August at $115 each for home. Got two 27" Dell 2719D 1440hz for the office. Honestly do not see a big difference between the two sets. It takes a 27" monitor to get the vertical increase of these 16:10 Acers.
