Deco surprised the heck out of me....significantly better reach vs my Ubiquit setup. Very happy, although nowhere near as advanced management as what Ubiquiti offers.

It looks like the M3W wall units don't have dedicated backhaul and are basically proprietary repeaters. :-/

Could I use this for my parents to get WiFi across their house. They have a horrible time getting wifi on the far side of the house because of the concrete walls.
it could work, but depends heavily on distance. we have cinderblock/metal screen/shiplathe/plaster in a large portion of our house and with the m9 it works exceptionally well but it's also WIRED backhaul. if you can't wire it, then having two hops can create a problem if you cannot centralize the routing unit (with two extenders on opposite sides from each other). i hope that makes sense...

also, it depends if they're going to want to stream HD/4k, or just a simple web browse/etc...

Does it have a USB port so I can link my hard disk? If not, is there a work around?

Would appreciate the opinions of anyone who would like to chime in on TP-Link Deco Whole Home Mesh WiFi System (Deco M3). Thank you!
I bought this from Amazon Treasure Truck for this price. It's not worth saving money for this over Eero (from the reviews on Eero - I just ordered one the other day). There are dead spots literally right next to the plug in receivers. No matter how much speed you pay for the M3 maxes out at 100 down. Customer support is frustrating to deal with when trying to solve these issues.

Browsing this on the Costco x6s netgear Costco 130$ router. Really fast and good range. Even at other corner still get 40MBps out of 300.

First off, this is a great deal, but there are some caveats.

TP link support is entirely in Chinese (they speak English but they are all Chinese and very hard to understand.) If something is wrong you are required to pay postage to TP link even within the first 30 days.

They can take forever to get a replacement. I had a AD7200 Talon go bad and it took 4 months to get a replacement.

Their firmware leaves quite a bit to be desired. You should read up on the reviews before pulling the trigger.

My big problem with TPlink is they unlike Asus, stop update the firmware after a year or two. Their firmware is also on the slim side. On balance I must say their AC3200 has been solid throughout the yeas, far more stable than Asus 1900.

Anyone has the Mi Mo router?
I have a similar looking one from a Walmart clearance and the last time the firmware was updated was over a year back. If anyone has it can you confirm is the same case for you too?
