The difference one is an AX router the one you pointed to is an AC router.

Coming from a tp link Archer ac1200 in a 2500 sqft house is it worth it? Is mesh an add on?

Think this is better than the Netgear RX500 with netduma? I had better results with the netduma then the ac5300 for multiple gaming clients at same time however the RX500 has some important bugs they have not patched in some time. Thinking its time to change. Just not sure where to go within reason.

These are great routers, and will be great for that sized house, especially if centrally located. Aimesh is open for this router, which is great.

Location wouldn't really be Central nothing I can do about it and not sure what aimesh is all I know is I've never paid over like $60 for a router seems crazy expensive

I went with the ASUS as the Aimesh is better than the versions from Netgear and TP-Link.
ASUS also updates their software frequently.
