I would suggest to buy it along with bass module 500. Or Costco has the Soundbar 500 and Bass Module 500 bundled for $769

Bose reduced the original price to $499(saw this in factory store) for this one as this is discontinued and 700 is the latest version, seems like Amazon still shows $699. Bought this refurb for 359 and sounds great. You can add 500 bass module as well

The Costco bundle is the 500 series. Which is better?

Note the Costco bundle includes the Bose 500 soundbar. This is smaller. Hardware wise the Soundtouch 300 is similar to Bose 700, it's just tied into the soundtouch ecosystem, which from what I read is no longer supported by Bose.

I have one on order as there was some good cash back deals on Monday that you could combine with that price. I intend to use it with my TV, so less concerned if it's ability to stream internet radio is curtailed

I have not order bass module unit yet. Would be too much to get Mrs approval on in one go. Will see how it sounds on it's own initially. From what I hear if you got the funds is the bass module 700 is what people on the audio forums seem to recommend.

Here is a good info about the comparison of sound bars

https://www.soundmaxpro.com/sound...touch-300/

I had SoundTouch 300 + Bass Module 500 and it was a great experience. I got this bundled for $1000 couple of months ago from Costco.

However, as the price is reduced now, I went to Costco and returned above bundle and got the $769 bundle of Soundbar 500 and Bass module 500. I feel there is a minimal difference in terms of the experience, but I'm fine with it. If you aren't sure which one to but I would suggest Costco as it comes with Ultimate Remote and Costco accepts the returns even after 90 days for this product + has Extended Warranty. 🤷 ♂️

Also, for someone who has friends working at Amazon can get 30% off on Bose Products. Found this recently , but doesn't apply to discounted products.

I bought both the sonos playbar and this bose 300. The sonos was easier to hook up and setup, after both updated and working I can say that the bose sounded much more crisp and much better than the playbar. I really wanted to keep the playbar since I have 2 play 1 but cant justify keeping it when the bose 300 is cheaper and sounded better. Also the bose 300 HDMI arc is better than just the playbar optical connection. I hope sonos make a new playbar version soon.

Do you have the sub also or just the soundbar?

I purchased this Soundbar a while back and love it. Didn't purchase the sub since it was packing a punch already. I did however get the satellite speakers which are a must for me.

Any deals for the sub since its being discontinued?

How does the 30% off for Bose work for Amazon employees? Thanks!
