The rubber piece that connects the cable to the charging usb-c tip gets damaged easily. Supposed to last 5000 bends, I had two replaced within 3 months of use.
Do you have to pay return shipping or anything like that?

I've been using urlhasbeenblocked usb a to c cables. Pretty heavy duty and far cheaper than Anker, though not braided. They come in six packs, and you can easily find people trying to offload the extra cables on ebay for a very cheap price.

There are eBay sellers selling OEM USB-C cables from Samsung / LG for the same price or less ($3@ FS). Why not buy those instead?

There's a lot of fake ones on eBay. At least if you place an order though Amazon (Sold by AnkerDirect and Fulfilled by Amazon) it's legit.

This. The power ratings for eBay cables is iffy at best.
