No place in the Amazon ad for these cables does it say USB 2.0. What it says is Quick charge 2.0. The cable is rated for 3A/5V. That is USB 3.0. I think the OP put in the wrong info.

I have a couple of these, had to replace one that stopped working after a week, but have had no other issues after using them daily for almost a year now.

...and yes, they do fast charge

Purchased these 2 days back for $10 + tax...
Had a chat with Amazon Customer care, they are not agreeing to do a price match but are ready to have a free return and send shipping label so that i can place a new order.

Amazon Customer service has become so poor in recent times, its not as it used to be. I can leave it because it is only $3 but I'm gonna return it this time for the smart asses.

Also still ignoring my link making this whole thread irrelevant. Cheaper cables verified to work just fine for fast charge I'm using it now
What are you some shill for that cable company? Sorry snowflake but I trust Anker before I trust some no name Chinese knockoff cables with my $1000 phone.

I've used one of these for nightly charging for almost 2 years now. I dont really use my phone while charging so it's still in decent shape although the rubber strain relief is not what it used to be.

When it dies in a year or so and the other one goes through it's three year cycle I guess I'll fork over another $6.

Do you have to pay return shipping or anything like that?
Nope. They only wanted the order number, serial, and picture for proof.

Speed is listed as 480 Mbps. That's USB 2.0. It just happens to support fast charging (but not power delivery).

USB 3.0 cables have 5 Gbps speeds. (Or rather they should, except the stupid USB committee keeps incorporating older USB specs into the new ones. So 480 Mbps USB 2.0 is now USB 3.0, while 5 Gbps USB 3.0 is USB 3.0 SuperSpeed. They did it again with USB 3.1. USB 3.1 gen 1 is basically USB 3.0 Superspeed, while USB 3.1 gen 2 is 10 Gbps.)

Code for black cables didn't work for me. Oh well, the silver is prettier.

Except you posted some random no name brand. Most would rather stick with Anker for a dollar more since they have QC and customer service.

Have these, they fast charge an s10+. I think I paid about the same price last year for the same cable pair and while I don't use this cable every day, it's held up in my work bag with occasional use.

Once again USB 2.0 is not rated at 3A/5V output from my understanding. As far as the 480mbps that refers to data transfer and has nothing to do with power transfer. I agree all these new phone power cables seem to be a hybrid mixture of specs and it's getting harder to distinguish one from the other when the sellers on Ebay and Amazon put any numbers in their ads they choose right or wrong. Then you have Samsung creating a whole new requirement spec for their Note 10+ fast charging 2.0 and 3.0. It is pretty hard to understand for me anyway.

I had a 5% coupon to clip for the black cables, which made it slightly cheaper than the silver or red cables with the code ($7.97).
