Works incredibly well on drywall (holes for outlets) but I've used it quite successfully trimming baseboards when installing built-in cabinets. It's a precision tool that works in spaces a typical jigsaw can't maneuver. For my use, it's somewhere between a Dremel with a cutoff wheel and a jigsaw.

Wish I could find a nice deal on 1/2 impact with battery @ charger. Want a little bit more than 400 ft/lbs of torgue. Unless it's a great deal. Want it to be a decent brand unless its proven to be quality "off" braND.

The Oscillating tool does a lot. You can attach various blades that let you make precise cuts as well as attaching sandpaper.

I use mine to cut screws/nails behind a board, cut out precise holes inside a cabinet for pipes/hoses, smooth out or cut the rough stuff left from my chop saw if it has a rough blade on it, etc.

It's a great tool, but I don't personally need a battery powered one, so I have the $20 one from harbor freight and it works great.

What tabosco23 said plus it works as a sander too for tight spots or detail sanding. It's a great tool to have. Always find uses for it.

in for one. dewalt tools so confusing, originally against atomic line, but after researching, it doesn't look bad for an avg homeowner. + both tools brushless for the first deal. oscillating tool (multi tool) is also great to have, and the compact drill is basically like a hybrid in terms of size compared to the impact driver.

I needed to sand something where I couldn't get power. This tool with a sanding attachment worked great.

FYI I bought this combo last year. So many SD comments on how great the oscillating tool is. Quality seems great but I have yet to use it. SD has got me to buy a lot of things I don't use lol if you have to ask what it does, you're probably better off choosing a different tool combo
