I am wearing the Halogen steel toe right now. I am a contractor and wear them daily. They are one of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. The sole is very padded. No chafing. They take a lot of abuse and the steel toe has had more than 400 lbs resting on it on many occasions without any bending. I hose them off with ease after concrete work. Decently waterproofed but my socks have gotten wet when the tongue gets wet.

Can these be used as motorcycle boots? Slip resistant and steel toe looks good but not sure if motorcycle boots have more ankle protection...

I'm interested in the boots, but can't find them sold anywhere else. Anyone know about Dewalt boots? Are they some other boots rebranded or what?

They might be a little clunky to work your shifter control. I also don't like too much tread on my cleats, as you can get caught up on them. Most MC boots are smooth on the bottom. I don't like a smooth boot, myself, and I'm sure these will do a good job but not "made" for MC, for sure.

I'm no contractor - just DIY around the house and moving stuff...but that's good enough for me! Thanks for the info - in for 1!

These sales don't like large people. I can never see a sale on attire that I actually want and find my size. Sigh

How do these compare to Kodiak for a kick in the face on a Saturday night? Could they send someone to the hospital, bloodied and bashed?
