Best deal I've seen ($40 lower than previous best deal) on this Docsis 3.1 cable modem. Compatible with Xfinity Triple Play service (including phone/voice) with Gigabit internet.
Thanks OP. When I went to buy it gave me the option to use a $15 GC promotion I had so the price went down a bit. Lets see how real the Intel Puma 6 modem chipset defects are.

I'm not an authority on this, but somebody else mentioned in another post that the Arris T25 is DOCSIS 3.1, so it has to use the Puma 7 chipset which hasn't shown any issue.

The following is from the following site https://approvedmodemlist.com/int...t-defects/
Intel Puma 6 Modem List – Do Not Buy These Cable Modems (Amazon is selling the T25 and it is on this list)
Do not buy these modems to avoid current and future problems with the Intel Puma chipsets. This list also includes Intel Puma 7 chipset modems.
Devices highlighted in bold are the more popular cable modems (best-selling modems).

Puma is a hardware defect - can't be fixed. I'd stay far away from this.
The SB8200 is also on sale for $109, which does not use Puma6 and that is a good price. Though it doesn't have Voice.
Yes. This particular model works for those with triple play plans because it supports voice. Only 2 options right now available that support voice and gigabit internet. This is one of them. Netgear has another, but much higher price point for now. (Just a note that modem rental fees for Xfinity are going up again to $14/month next month.....so can break even in about a year or so at this price)
No if you purchase your own modem you will be unable to use Xfi or the pods. That being said you avoid the $14 modem rental fee monthly and you can get your own mesh system
I have a SB6183 that's working fine on xfinity, we are paying for the triple-play 500mb plan as it was cheaper but not using the voice. Would this be a worthy upgrade?
I was under the impression that PUMA 7 (in the T25) chipsets do not exhibit the same latency/lag issues that the PUMA 6 chipsets did.
Agree with that understanding. I'm surprised that site includes all puma 7 devices as well, even though they hedge on it a bit when they say "may" also be defective. For me, it's either this one or a netgear model that supports voice/gig internet that costs $50 more and also has mixed reviews. I'll take my chances with this one at this price and return if any major issues.
