WRONG...

The SB8200 comes with the Broadcom BCM3390 chipset.

Open box is a customer return. Frustration free is different packing method from manufacturer.

Yes... But I wanted to note the actual chipset being used as well as place an emphasis on the fact that your post was incorrect (for the SD users who just read the first couple lines of "WARNING...DO NOT BUY!!!" type posts). Nothing personal. I've had my share of bad experiences with PUMA-equipped routers so I can understand you wanting to put out a PSA.

"Frustration Free" ... another term for open box. Genius.

I have one of these paired with Ubiquiti network equipment. I haven't had any problems with it and get my advertised speeds.

DO NOT BUY THIS MODEM!
It has the dreaded Intel Puma chipset
DO NOT BUY THIS MODEM!

You do not have to believe me, just search for: "Intel Puma 6 Modem Chipset do not buy list".
If you decide to get this 'deal' I wish you "Good Luck"!

Later Edit: my bad, this one is not based on Puma 6 chipset!

I believe for this model I will need a router to have WiFi at home? Any good deal for modem+router compatible for spectrum?

Lowest price according to CCC. I've been getting by just fine with 260 Mbps on my SB6140 but would like to upgrade when the price is right. Hard to tell if/when the 3.1s will drop significantly.
I still have 20% off from the Discover card deal so for me personally (and some other Discover cardholders) $88 might be good enough. Still on the fence though.
