Does the 6-person instant tent come with 5 instant friends? Asking for a friend.

That is the unfortunate thing about tents is that there's always a risk of having a leak somewhere, but this particular Coleman instant tent is still highly rated with over 3000 reviews. I've been watching the price on the 6-person one for a long time, and couple years ago it was a frontpage deal for $100 and last year the 4-person one was a deal for $10 more at $76.

Thanks. I got it on the marketplace for 20% off so total price was $67 after tax.

They also have an 8 man but without instant set up for ~$75

Only comes with 3 imaginary, 5 wouldn't fit unless you pack in like sardines.

Been eyeing this for a while. Always been around $150. Finally a deal for something I was going to buy anyway.

Have experience with the 6-8 person. Very easy to set up and stable. You should always stake it down if there is any wind. I did not have any problem with mild to medium rain, but have not used it during heavy rain. If you have a small vehicle you should remember that instant tents are heavier and bulkier than other tents.

Weak spot is the plate/junction connector where the frame legs attach at top. This tent is solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Coleman tents are easy and fast to set up IMO.

Rainfly not included. Thats an extra $20.

I was going to go with this (6 person + rain fly) and get the amazon warehouse version for 20% off for a total of $75.

I finally decided the better option (for us) was to go with the 8 person posted above (says its a 15 min setup, includes rain fly) from amazon warehouse for $50.

The 8-person tent posted in the comments is not an instant tent, just in case you weren't aware, but it looks like it's a fairly quick and easy setup. I think it's still a great price for a 8-person tent.
The Coleman Instant tent has an integrated rainfly, but I will probably eventually order the rainfly accessory for added protection/precaution.

I have this and it does leak. Get a rain fly or use a tarp if camping with rain in the forecast
