Nope. This one is 3DOF. It doesn't capture translation, only rotation. It comes with a single "pointer" controller. Go is good for watching videos and basic social and gaming, but isn't a full fledged VR experience. For that you'd need the Quest.

I'd 100% agree. For those looking at this deal, I'd pass on it. I had it in my cart for 10 mins then just decided no. The go is inferior and I feel like it's being "dumped". I won't expect any new games to be added to the GO.

Been wanting to try a VR headset for watching movies. Not a gamer at all so I'm in for one to see how this performs. Seems like a good price.

Movies will appear in not-quite 720p - but it's very immersive

I'm not going to so far as to say the Go is a dead platform - but the Quest certainly took a lot of wind out of its sails

I've had one for a few years. It's worth this price. Don't assume you'll use is as much as an Xbox or phone. You get a bit motion sick. There will always be content for it because a lot of the apps are just browser or video based. Like travel apps that allow you to view world sites in 360. Games that are shooter games or escape a room types tend to be best because you have one pointer/controller. It's fun for people to experience. It won't become your primary gaming platform.

Don't trust Facebook and these Oculus VR headsets. Oculus "accidentally" put hidden cryptic messages in VR products with messages including:

"The Masons Were Here" and "Big Brother is Watching"

Unless you have a PC, don't count on it. You'll need a decent PC running ALVR. There won't be a stand alone app dedicated to the oculus go for HL.
