You can catch some monster bass on these. They are fresh water only but for $15 wash them off with a hose and you'll get more than your money's worth out of them.

Spool them up with some cheap 5 lbs mono fishing line and go have a blast. You can go fluro if you want to spend more and have a super thin line that is noticably harder to tie some knots with. But simply go on youtube and search how to fish for the first time and where you want to go and before you know it you'll be an expert.

I learned everything I know how to do right from youtube. All my old fishing knots are garbage compared to the uni and double uni. Learn a few. Download knot apps on your phone. You'll out fish me all day.

Got kids that need a rod? Buy this and teach them. This is a great price for a great starter combo to get people into fishing.

It is still 10 if you take into consideration inflation. :-)

Ordered them last year and I regret it the reels are poor quality. Buy a Zebco from Walmart instead.

If you do buy go to dicks to have them strung for 50% off well worth it.

It'll last long enough for Dick's to clearance these out again next winter.

It never makes much sense to buy a decent reel for a budget combo rod.

I got 4 last year for the kids and 3 of the reels are broke already.. probably used 3 times before they basically fell apart
